Info - Irish traditional music sessions are a regular feature at the two pubs at Garrykennedy. The area boasts a wealth of talented professional and amateur musicians.

Our Bit - Garrykennedy lies near the south eastern end of Lough Derg. Although this was a potential stopping point for our June 2001 trip, and in fact we did stop here briefly the harbour is very small and only really suitable for small craft. We did manage to moor but as we were almost blocking the entrance to the harbour we decided not to stay.
If however you do manage to get into the harbour here are two possible pubs to visit.

Dan Larkin's Pub
Food served all day and traditional music at night.
Thatched pub and restaurant. The style is that of an old world farmhouse, with an open fire.
Bar food and lunch is served all day. Steaks, fish & salads with a children's menu.
Also a la carte menu available.
